Apple's Intel PC - First part of the story...?
Many people know the difference between Windows and Mac OS, right?
Windows is installed into PC, mostly are using Intel or AMD based CPU. Mac OS, on the other hand, is installed into Apple's hardware as core processing unit, which is different from Intel or AMD based CPU that we are using now. (They use the processor called, "G4", "G5", etc.) Because of different hardware architecture, Mac OS X cannot be installed into our laptop or regular PC..... in the past.
Few months ago, Apple announced the future Mac will not use Apple's own hardware anymore. Instead, they use Intel. This is because they want to save cost so as to increase their profit. That means Apple's Mac will be quite similar to the PC since Mac also use Intel based as the core from now on.
So, is that mean there is no difference between Mac and PC in the future? Since PC and Mac are using Intel based CPU, does it mean the Mac OS X system can now be installed to every PC in the future? Well, not really.
Thought Apple's Mac will use Intel based CPU for future Mac computers, Apple will implement a protection called "TPM" to protect Mac OS being installed to the regular PCs. Only the Apple's intel based Mac can install the Mac OS X.
Many people are quite interested about Mac. No doubt that Mac OS X's effect is quite beautiful. Its aqua effect is gorgeous. I saw many friends installed lots of software to make the Windows feel like Mac OS X. Many people are very interested about it althought XP already have a good design.
Should a system usability is more important than that of its "look"? Windows is so familiar with us. A lot of people are using Windows, but Mac OS X is so beautiful and irresistible, will this move of Mac OS X change the world? Is that really means regular PC cannot install Mac OS X in the future even Mac is now using Intel based CPU?
Second part of the story continues.... tomorrow. Today wrote a lot of words....keep clicking.
